This includes the innovative use of a Cadillac's rear end—complete with its iconic fins and bullet taillights—turned into a unique bench. These elements alongside our vehicles created a nostalgic yet fresh experience. The event itself was a full-throttle success, featuring a live DJ who kept the energy high, a barbecue food truck serving up delicious fare, and a generous 30% discount on all items, living up to the day's playful slogan, "Wheelin' & Dealin'." Initially, it looked like it would be a tight fit but with their instructions, we got the tires on the wheels without an issue. After sending the measurements and payment, we received the package in about 4 weeks. Not bad considering all the supply chain issues right now. The package included written instructions and a link to a youtube video with mounting instructions. End to end measurement of the rim Width of the outer portion of the rim Width of the interior portion of the rim Once we had the tires off, we were able to get these measurements rather easily. Our Baby’s Cars Vintage pram has 12” rims and a width of 24mm. We sent the measurements and photos of the measurements to luxuryprams.com and we should receive the tires in 4-6 weeks. It appeared to be impossible to remove the tire from the rim in tact. We decided to saw a portion off in order to get better angle to dislodge the tire from the rim. What worked best for us was sawing two lines to the rim and then using a screwdriver to pry off that section of tire. Once we got that section off, we were able to get under the tire and remove the rest of it intact. There is still some pitting in the chrome but it looks surprisingly good for a 60-year-old stroller. We were also able to take the suspension apart and clean some of the larger pieces. We plan on replacing some of the smaller hardware with stainless steel nuts and bolts to prevent any future rusting. The tires are in rough shape so we didn’t start on the rims. There is no give to remove the tire from the rim so we are anticipating needing to cut them off. We were hesitant to cut them off in case we couldn’t find a replacement. Old cracking tires are better than no tires after all! Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any manufacturer to order a new tire. It will be sad to lose the vintage lettering on the white wall but we are hoping to recreate it somehow in the future Once we cut the tires off, we will send some detailed measurements to our friends at luxuryprams.com and hope to have new tires in 4 weeks. During that time we’ll clean the rims and handlebar, get the spokes rebalanced and try to find some replacement hardware.
